Meet the Team

David Bennett

President

David Bennett is a licensed civil engineer in California. He has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) from the University of Southern California. Mr. Bennett has more than 20 years of experience in all aspects of development, ranging from land acquisitions, to design, to construction.

He brings a unique perspective to site construction with over 10 years of experience as a professional civil engineer, and has worked in a land development role for KB Home, DR Horton, and MileStone Community Builders. This experience allows Mr. Bennett to better understand the technical design and the overall goals of developers and clients.

Alex Zente

Operations Manager

Alex Zente oversees all facets of field operations for site construction and is responsible for coordinating with all the various trades and municipalities. With more than a decade of experience, Mr. Zente has managed a multitude of construction projects, including single family and multifamily residential, commercial retail and office, and other development types.

Notable projects that Mr. Zente supervised and constructed include the Kalahari Resort, Springdale Green, and ThinkEast Apartments, as well as several single-family subdivisions in the Greater Austin area. With this vast experience, Mr. Zente has developed expertise with efficient site management, cultivating strong relationships with trade partners, and a comprehensive understanding of the expectations of the owners.

Jim Hartness

Senior Estimator

Jim Hartness is responsible for compiling estimates and bids for civil site work, which includes negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers for the best value. With approximately two decades of experience. His career started in the Air Force as a Pavement Specialist and Equipment Operator and over the last seventeen years he has worked in private and public heavy civil construction. He led construction projects around the United States, Iraq, and South America.

Since 2007, Jim has been a part of teams involved with constructing numerous master planned communities, such as: Paloma Lake, Highlands at Mayfield Ranch, Parkside at Mayfield Ranch, Lantana, Avalon, Reunion Ranch, Bear Creek, and other communities located in Central Texas. Mr. Hartness has also worked on multi-family, commercial, and distribution center projects. Mr. Hartness has valuable experience in other aspects of construction from overseeing crews as a Foreman, Superintendent, Project Manager, Estimator, and Operations Management. This field experience coupled with estimating provides a unique understanding of civil construction that results in accurate bids and proposals for developers and clients.

Osiel Rodriguez

Field General Superintendent

Osiel Rodriguez oversees all facets of field operations for heavy civil construction and manages all field crews that include utilities, grading, concrete, etc. This includes managing budgets and schedules along with resource allocation on projects and understanding civil plans and how to interpret the design for construction. With over three decades of experience, Mr. Rodriguez has had worked in varies roles from pipe labor, operator, foreman, superintendent, to general superintendent overseeing the entire project from start to final acceptance. Over 20 years of his experience was as a superintendent.

Mr. Rodriguez started his career with Cash Construction in 1992 then worked with A&B Construction, followed by approximately 23 years with Ross Construction. This experience involved both residential and commercial projects such as Grand Meza Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, Highlands and The Bluffs at Osage, Traviso, Clearwater on Liberty Hill, Hidden Oaks at Georgetown, and a few HEB, Targets, and Walmart sites.
